Casa Zorro (Maxey) is a uniquely located house on the hill of La Mola on the island of Formentera.

The house was built in de seventies by Dale Maxey. A Chicago based children’s book illustrator and writer.

He is known for his writing and illustrations in “Seeing London” & “ The trouble with Timothy “ amongst many others.

The house is unusual and unique, because unlike most houses and finca’s on these islands, the ceilings are extremely high and the rooms very spacious.

Dale Maxey used the beautifully lit rooms build on the east and west side of the house as his atelier.

On the terrace overlooking the magnificent ever-changing view on the island is a mural painted by him.

The road signs leading to the house are by designed Dale Maxey and have an engraved sun logo .

Also the magnificent stairway in the grand living room has engraved steps leading you to the sky room.
